Based in North Wiltshire, Chase the Breeze is made up of husband and wife flyers, Mike and Sheila Stevens. A kite show team who regularly attend events throughout England – and even Spain!

Always fans of kites, when their kids ‘flew’ the nest, Mike and Sheila joined Avon Kite Flyers, based in Bristol. They soon became addicted, spending many weekends flying with the club, whilst also mastering their own kite creations at home.

Also members of the Kite Society of Great Britain and Brighton Kite Flyers, Mike and Sheila now spend their weekends travelling around England’s Kite Festivals, from Brighton to Barmouth, helping to spread their love of kite flying. They also attend the Festival Internacional de Cometas in Corralejo, Fuerteventura, Spain, which takes place each year in November.

After 16 years, their collection of kites is vast, including everything from single and four-lined kites to home-made and custom designs. But the stars of the show are their ‘fun inflatables’, giant inflatable kites, made by world-famous manufacturer, Peter Lynn. Of these superbly designed giants, Mike and Sheila’s set includes a 36ft x 16ft penguin, 40ft dog and a 32ft x 97ft manta ray! Why not see them in action in our gallery?
